Hallie Mae Gillihan Redding

Hallie Mae Gillihan Redding “Penny” passed away peacefully on June 24th, 2024 in White House, TN at the age of 84.  

Penny was born in Nashville, TN on May 20th, 1940 to the late Annie Mae Webb Gillihan and Turner Gillihan.   

She was preceded in death by her son, David Katz, and her five older sisters, Ruth Colbert, Eudell Bennett, Ruby Davidson, Delora Ann Dabbs and Edna “Robin” Brown.   Penny loved life, God and her family and was a blessing to everyone who knew her. Her smile and big, loving personality would bring joy, happiness and love wherever she was. She was happiest with family around her and doing for others. She also loved all of her family and friends in New Jersey. She lived a long and beautiful life and will be missed forever.   

She leaves behind and is deeply missed and loved by her daughter Deborah Katz Midyett (Nick), granddaughters Brittany Poole (Joseph), Demi Davis (Blake), great grandsons Connor and Carson Davis and her great granddaughter, Hayden Mae Poole, due this summer.  

Her daughter and granddaughters would like to thank Gloria (Doololly), Joe, Heather, Larry and the rest of the staff at White House Healthcare & Rehab for taking care of and loving Penny “Fluffy” in the last year and a half of her life.
