Geraldine Lee Kerrick Craighead

Geraldine Lee Kerrick Craighead, age 79 of Hendersonville, TN passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024. She was born October 2, 1944 in Detroit, MI to the late Nicholas Kerrick and the former Marjorie Mae Tennant.

Geraldine was a long-time Hendersonville resident. She will be remembered as a jack of all trades; over the course of her life, she worked in jobs including construction, insurance sales among others. She truly enjoyed being self-employed, selling a variety of other retail items in the area. She was a huge Elvis fan who enjoyed knitting and boating. She loved bowling and playing softball and bingo. She loved babies and leaves a legacy of loving family and friends and as friend to all since she never, ever met a stranger.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Riley Craighead Jr.; sister, Margie Ward; and brother, Nicholas Kerrick Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Kenny) Bain and Peggy (Virgle) Merritt; son, Jimmy (Dana) Craighead; sisters, Judy (Hank) Waterstraat, Janet (Sonny) Larose, and JoAnne (Ron) Moretz; sister-in-law, Gloria Tennant; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2024 in Crestview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Sumner Funeral and Cremation Lakeside.
