Gary Lee Sawyers

Gary Lee Sawyer, of Lebanon Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday December 19, 2017, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Sawyer, an army veteran, made his living as an electrician and contractor and most recently as a bus driver for Wilson County Schools. Gary enjoyed hiking, sailing, rock climbing, and other outdoor activities. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Ila Ruth Gibbs Sawyer and his older brother, Michael Sawyer. Gary is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cindy Baker Sawyer; his three children, Kristopher (Lindsey), Erin, and Kaitlin; granddaughters, Julia Marie and Eleanor Katherine Baker; sisters, Candy Stinnett, and Debbie (Jeff) Randolph; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive visitors at Faith Lutheran Church from 12-2pm on Saturday, December 23. Funeral services will be held at the church immediately following the visitation at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in his name to Watertown Elementary School.
Services have been entrusted to Austin and Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hendersonville. 615-822-4442
