MSGT (Ret.) Floyd Raymond Duvall Sr., age 82 of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away Friday, December 30, 2021. He was born December 17, 1939 in Dawson Springs, Kentucky.
Floyd served in the U.S. Marine Corps, retiring as Master Sergeant. He later formed Duvall’s Plumbing Company in Hopkinsville, KY. He was an active member of Hendersonville First United Methodist Church, as well as an avid collector and member of the Department 56 Club.
Floyd was preceded in death by his father, Elvis Duvall; mother and step-father, Arthula and George “Bud” Russell; and his brother Roy Duvall.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Duvall; children, Ray (Melinda) Duvall, Kevin (Joye) Duvall, TSgt. (Ret.) Michael (Mary) Duvall, Debbie (Joe) Dominguez, and Kimberly (Matt) Tyler; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of Floyd’s life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 8, 2022 in the Hendersonville First United Methodist Church Sanctuary with Pastor Don Hutchinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. He will be laid to rest in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West at later date.
