Flavys "Sonny" Joseph Lapete

Flavys Joseph "Sonny" Lapete, age 74, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at home after a short illness.
He was born on June 9, 1948, in Whitefield, New Hampshire, to the late Flavys Joseph "Bud" Lapete and the late Edith Della Stanford Lapete.
He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Purple Heart.
He is survived by his wife of over 32 years, Sandy; children, Claude, Raymond, Jennifer, Sabrina, Larry, Laura; siblings, Beatrice, Kathy, Letty; he was also blessed with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Linda and Evelyn.
A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Nashville National Cemetery, 1420 Gallatin Rd., S, Madison, TN 37115.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sonny's honor to your local VFW.
