Edward Herschel Parker, Sr. U S. Army Retired, age 86 of Hendersonville, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
He was retired from the U.S. Army after 39 years service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was an avid UT fan.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Brown Parker; son Edward Herschel
(Anita) Parker, Jr.; daughter, Desiree (Billy) Coffman; grandchildren, Vivien (Joey) ElBeck, B. J. (Bobbi Jo) Coffman, Tiffany (Josh) McKenzie, Brittany (Jason) Aldridge, Trey Parker, Adam (Bethany) Patrick and Jordan (Andrea) Patrick; great-grandchildren, Jackson McKenzie, Braxton McKenzie, Brooklyn McKenzie, Billy Joe Coffman, III, Katelyn ElBeck, Parker ElBeck, Lola ElBeck, Cora Belle Patrick and Jack Henry Patrick.
Mr. Parkers family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October, 26 at Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Hendersonville. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, October 27 at 2:00 p.m. EST from Thorngrove Baptist Church Cemetery in Strawberry Plains, TN. with Full Military Honors.
