Donna Fay Maggart Nokes

Donna Fay Maggart Nokes, age 76 of Sparta, TN and formerly of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2021. Donna was born on August 6, 1944 in Springfield, Tennessee to the late L.B. Ray and Margaret Maggart. Donna was a loving and devoted mother; she loved her family and everyone else she came in contact with and would give anyone the shirt off of her back if they needed it. Her smile was captivating and her personality was engaging; she never met anyone that she didn’t like and that didn’t like her. Donna’s passion was working with flowers; everyone wanted her to do their weddings or decorate their home. She always worked hard and outdid herself, but she always wanted to make sure everyone was happy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Nokes; sister, Debra Sharp; and her brother, Gary Maggart. Donna is survived by her children, Dana Nakamoto (Kyle), Jeremiah Johnson (Paula), Lance Woodis, and Brad Woodis (Kelly); 8 grandchildren; brothers, Ronnie Maggart (Beverly) and Randy Maggart; and her best “friend o friend”, Jean Whittaker (Bob). A Celebration of Donna’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. from The Lord’s Sanctuary Church, 734 Red River Road in Gallatin. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at the church. In accordance with CDC Guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required.
