Donald Harris Green

Donald Harris Green, age 81 of Hendersonville, TN passed away June 6, 2022. He was born April 30, 1941 to Milton Harris and Celestine Mahoney Green in Nashville, TN.
Mr. Green was a graduate of the Litton Class of 1960 and in his early years as a musician, was a member of local rock group, The Monarchs. He served in the Air Force and later the National Guard for over 20 years. He will be remembered as a good handyman, a trait which allowed him to be thrifty and also provide good stories for family to tell over the years. He was also a gunsmith and served as a softball coach for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jill Green.
Mr. Green is survived by his daughters, Amanda (David) Yates and Kerry Green; brothers, William (Kathy) Green and Gerald (Debbie) Green; grandchildren, Daniel (Lauren) Ervin, Olivia Ervin (Craig) Mitcham, Hallie Daniel, Mary Katherine (Matthew) Catignani, Annabel Yates, and Hayden (Bryant) Yates; and great-grandchildren, Fletcher, Renly, Jackson, Derek, Eliza, Deacon, Rowan, Erin, Woods, Darby, Zella, and Steely Kate.
A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022 in the Chapel of Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside in Hendersonville, TN. The family will receive friend from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
