Debra Charlene "Charlie" Hale

Debra Charlene “Charlie” Hale, age 65 gained her wings and went home to be with our Lord on March 4th, 2021. She was born on October 5th, 1955 to Barbara and JC Chumley.

Charlie made her home in Gallatin, TN over the last 20 years where she made many friends and loved her family. She retired from the Pest Control Industry after 30+ years and loved her co-workers like family. She could light up an office with her smile, an infectious laugh and always had a dose of sarcasm at the ready. Even though she loved to work, there was one thing she loved more than anything in this world and that was being the most wonderful Nana and Mother to her children and grandchildren. She could talk for hours about her grandbabies and children to anyone who would listen. The love and pride of her family was heard in every word she spoke and every smile she wore.

She was always a shoulder to lean on, with a cup of coffee and a beautiful smile for anyone who needed it. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and would want us all to continue to share her joy in this world.

She is survived by her father: JC Chumley; three children: Ryan Lucas, Kristin Lucas (Latrell) and Danielle Hale (Letyjuan); grandchildren: Jayden Hale, Blaycyn Law, Kyleigh Moore, Kinsley Newsom and Kameron Law; Sisters: Vanessa Jenkins (Mike), Dalana Barnett (John); Niece: Crystal Jenkins and Jennifer Barnett; Nephews: Michael Jenkins and Joshua Barnett . Her mother, Barbara Chumley and sister Genise Chumley were awaiting her at Heaven’s Gates with open arms.
