Darrell Gene Lynn, age 67, of Westmoreland, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022, with his daughter by his side, at Sumner Regional Medical Center after a battle with cancer. In his final hours, he was surrounded by family and lifted up by prayer and with praise.
He was born on August 21, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Floyd Joseph Lynn and Mary Jo Templeton Lynn.
He was a retired professional painter who took great pride in his work for many years. He also attended The Church of God in Portland, TN, and loved sharing the Word of God whenever the opportunity presented itself. He was a kindhearted man that never met a stranger, and spread joy, smiles and contagious laughter wherever he went. He was an avid sports fan, a wonderful storyteller, and a very loving father, brother, son, and friend who will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roscoe and Rosie Lynn, Galbreath, and Kathryne Templeton; brothers, Larry Lynn, Ernie Lynn.
He is survived by his daughter, Emily Jo Lynn; sister, Debra Lynn Khandpur (Tarunjit), brother, Randy Lynn; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will all miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, November 12, from 12:00-2:00 PM, at The Church of God, 135 Thurman Keply Road, Portland, Tennessee.
A private burial will take place at Larkspur Conservation.
