Daniel Emory Rumble, “Danny”, 70, of Castalian Springs, Tennessee passed away
Friday, June 9, 2023 at home with his family. He was born October 16, 1952 in
Evansville, Indiana to Glenn Allen Rumble I and Rose Ellen (Mason) Rumble.
As a veteran of the Vietnam war, he earned the following ribbons; Vietnam
Campaign, Meritorious Service. He served honorably in the United States Navy
aboard the USS Sarsfield, a Gearing-class destroyer, achieving the rank of
Seaman, as a boiler mechanic.
Prior to his military service, he achieved an Associate’s degree in Automotive
Engineering from the Nashville Auto Diesel College in Nashville, TN. As a 1971
North Posey High School graduate, he played on the Vikings basketball team and
pursued interests in the arts, cars and history.
Danny was an honorable and dedicated family man, a master of the Rubik’s cube,
artist, and car connoisseur. He enjoyed going to car events, such as the Daytona
24-hour race and participating as a driver in various races with his 1971 Triumph
GT6. He also loved to hunt for American Civil War era coins in the Castalian
Springs Creek.
After his retirement as the IUE-CWA Union President of General Electric in
Tennessee, he enjoyed spending time with family, exploring nature and playing
with his beloved Savannah cat named Blackjack.
Danny is survived by his son, Christopher Rumble (Teresa Rumble); daughter,
Crystal (Rumble) Jones; step-son Jerry Bybee Jr. ; grandchildren Skyler,
Alexander “Chance”, Cryshelle and Bailey; siblings Diane (Rumble) Maglinger,
David Rumble, brother-in-law John Maglinger Jr.; sister-in-law’s Annette (Hoskins)
Rumble, Connie (Warren) Rumble and Jill (Leary) Rumble, and step-mother Mary
Jane (Reynolds) Rumble, as well as many nieces and nephews, great
grandchildren, cousins and life-long friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; brothers, Glenn Allen Rumble II and
James Rumble; infant brother Ronnie Rumble; former wives Geneva Lou
(Thompson) Rumble and Jo (Hardin) Rumble; grandson Scotty Rumble, great
grandson Ryan Jones.
