Cynthia Lee Smith, age 73 of Gallatin, passed away March 18, 2022. Cindy was born on May 9, 1948 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Charles and Leora Krisik. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Krisik and brother, Charles “Chuck” Krisik, Jr. Cindy is survived by her mother, Leora Krisik (Lee); sister Diane Krisik; children, Sheri (Darrell) Hamlett, Richard (Stephanie) McCormick, Melissa (Chad) Jarboe, Jenny (David) Michaeli, Laura (Benjamin) Cucio, and Kimberly Smith; and grandchildren, Austin (Anna) Hamlett, Micah (Alexis) Kelly, Blake McCormick, Trenton McCormick, Olivia Jarboe, Arie Michaeli, Elan Michaeli, Davron Cucio, Avalynn Cucio. Cindy was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. She relocated to TN in her teen years and considered TN her home. She attended Volunteer State Community College and was a licensed realtor before choosing to stay home to raise her children. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Gallatin, TN. She loved spending time with her family, including her grandchildren in her later years. Cindy loved the outdoors, nature, exploring, and hiking. She adored wildlife. She loved history and keeping up with current events. She loved being social, spending lots of time with family and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, March 25, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 720 Lock 4 Road, Gallatin with Pastor Kenneth Shaw officiating. The family will have a private burial in Beech Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 4-7 P.M. at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside in Hendersonville and on Friday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
