Connie Gayle Wade, age 58 of Gallatin, passed away March 12, 2022 surrounded by her family. Connie was born in Nashville on June 18, 1963 to the late John Crockett Carter and the late Viola Pauline Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Crockett Carter, Jr. Connie is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Wade; children, Ashley Freeman, Tim Freeman (Margaret Ewing) and Meagan Crisp (Austin); grandchildren, John Turner Crisp, Cecilia Pauline Frewing and Henry Crockett Frewing. A Celebration of Connie’s Life will be held 11:30 A.M., Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Old Union Church of Christ with Bro. Stephen Russell officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Connie was born and raised in Nashville and Madison, TN where she attended Madison Church of Christ and was a 1981 Graduate of Madison High School. She was employed as a Nutrition Specialist with Sumner County Schools for many years and was a member of Old Union Church of Christ. Connie loved children, feeding people, and serving others. Her greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren, biological and chosen. Connie was her given name, but she was Momma, Momma Connie, and Monnie to many. She loved singing in church, Atlanta Braves baseball, and digging her toes into the sandy beaches of Cape San Blas, Florida.
