Connie Marie Mires

Connie Marie Mires age 73 of Springfield passed away at her residence on Sunday, February 18, 2018.  She was born September 24, 1944 in Nashville TN to Hugh Emmett And Mildred Hazel Elliott Fultz. She was a secretary and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Mires who passed away in April 2016, daughter, Tami Cornelius who passed away March 2016, grandson, Kenny Edens, brother, Jerry Wayne Elliott and Jerome Elliott Jr. who raised her. Survivors include sons, Tracy Nichols of Pleasant View, Timmy Mires of Greenbrier and Tommy Mires of Nashville, daughter, Shenah Mangrum of Springfield, brother, Hugh Emmett Fultz of Columbia, sisters, Teresa Parsons of Lavergne and Wanda Toombs of Hendersonville, grandchildren. Tylore Blevins, Brianna Mangrum, Ally Mangrum, Adah Mangrum, Katie Rose Mangrum, Derek McCoy, Kaylee Nichols, Hunter Nichols, Felicia Edens, TC Mires and Cody Mires.  4 great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Hendersonville Free Will Baptist Church at 179 New Shackle Island Rd in Hendersonville.  Visitation will begin at 11 am and the funeral service will begin at 12 noon with Pastor Reed Wilkerson officiating. Sumner County Funeral and Cremation Services assisting the family with arrangements.  615-452-9059
