Charles Douglas West, age 72 of Hendersonville, TN passed away March 16, 2022. He was born in Springfield, TN on February 3, 1950 to the late James Douglas and Mary Edna Rock West.
Mr. West was a loving father and family man. He was a Christian and will be remembered for his work ethic, often working multiple jobs to support his family. Over the years he worked for Capital News in Nashville, JOB’s Bar in Madison, Caster Knott, and the former Tennessee Christian Medical Center. He was an avid collector of antique artillery, knives, and swords, a love he shared with family members, telling stories about the items he had collected over the years. He loved visiting with friends as well and will be missed by them all.
Mr. West was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Brandi West.
He is survived by his daughters, Lori (Robert) Eanes, Mandy (Raymon) Sesler, and Amber (Roberto) Lopez; brother, David (Nancy) West; grandchildren, Chase, Paige, Zach (Lexi). Brooke (Hensley), Austin (Blake), Baylee (James), Brendan, Alex, Kamryn, Ivanna, Nick, Luis, and Elena; great-grandchild, Ezra; and many extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 26, 2022 at the Goodlettsville Pentecostal Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until the time of service. Mr. West loved animals, especially dogs (his were Dexter and Grayson) and he donated to ASPCA frequently. His spirit of helping didn’t end with animals; he also donated to the Nashville Rescue Mission over the years as well. With his spirit of giving in mind, the family asks that donations be made to ASPCA or the Nashville Rescue Mission in his memory.
