Charles Michael Taylor was born July 10, 1959 in Pulaski County, KY and he passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at his residence in Gallatin at the age of 57, surrounded by his loving family.

Charlie was well known by many as a friend, businessman, and local running legend. He was loved for his infectious smile, caring heart, laughter, positive outlook, love for family, his faith, loyalty, integrity and incredible perseverance.

For 18 years, he owned Charlie Taylor Homes in Gallatin, steadfastly moving forward through both good and bad times. He loved and appreciated his many customers over the years. He was a faithful member of Cornerstone Church in Madison, and enjoyed leading his running groups and the kitchen for the Vision ministry. He passionately supported the church’s mission work all over the world. Hendersonville Running Club was his second family, and he shared many, many miles with them. They were always a great source of encouragement to him during his illness.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Lynn Taylor.

Survivors include his wife, Terri Leigh Grizzard Taylor of Gallatin; two sons, Charles (Sarah) Mikil Taylor, Jr. of Franklin, TN and Matthew Taylor of Nashville; three daughters, Brandi Sandlin of Gallatin, Lauren Taylor of Nashville and Stephanie (Jeremy) Foster of Somerset, KY, parents, Charles Willard and Ruby Jean Pittman Taylor of Somerset, KY, two brothers, James (Shelly) Taylor and Kevin (Alice) Taylor both of Somerset, KY; sister-in-law, Donna Taylor of Somerset, KY; granddaughter, Caroline M. Taylor of Gallatin; four grandsons, Gabriel Sandlin and Joel Nevins both of Gallatin, Peyton and Colton Foster both of Somerset, KY.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 2 pm at the Cornerstone Church at 726 W Old Hickory Blvd in Madison with Pastor Maury Davis officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 am until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made to Cornerstone Youth Department Missions fund.
