Charles William Dillehay, age 82, passed away January 28, 2023.
Charles was born on June 10, 1940 to the late Roy Lee Dillehay and the late Maggie "Lee" Chambers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Betty J. Walker. Charles is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy J. Dillehay; daughters, Barbara Venable (Butch) and Beverly Matthews (Doug); siblings, Rickey Dillehay (Kelly), Larry Troutt (Carolyn), Elaine Thornton (Bill), and Pam Givens (Charlie); grandchildren, Staci Thomas (Sport), Shayne Hughes, Josh Foley and family, and Kayce Matthews (Troy Fakes); great-grandchildren, Andrew Allen (Karla), Autumn Thomas, Logan Fakes, and James Fakes; and great-great grandchildren, Aubrie, Ashton, Anniston, and Ainsley Allen.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. from Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Willoughby officiating. Entombment will follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the church.
