Charles John Brocco—husband, father, brother, and friend died February 4th, 2019 in Hendersonville, TN.
Charlie was born in Kingston, NY to Charles and Angela (Perry) Brocco on March 1, 1954. Charlie graduated from Siena College in 1976 with a Bachelor of Finance.
On September 5, 1982, he married Lisa Fischer and together they have two sons. Charlie and Lisa moved to Los Angeles where he worked as a recording engineer at Village Recorder studio. In 1998, the Brocco’s, with their two young sons, relocated to Hendersonville TN and Charlie started engineering at East Iris Recording Studio. Charlie lent his talents to many studio’s and artists throughout his career including Barenaked Ladies, Patti Griffin, Randy Houser, Will Hoge and many more. In 2014, he won a Grammy for his work on Kacey Musgraves' “Same Trailer Different Park”.
Charlie instilled his love and knowledge of music, humility, kindness, and easy going demeaner in his children. He recently enjoyed reconnecting with his college classmates and collaborating with his son, a teacher, on an educational musical history album. Charlie’s interests included boating, listening to music, beach trips, reading, and above all spending time with his family and friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife; Lisa Brocco; their children, Jonathan and Cameron Brocco; and his sister, Mary Ann Hoskins.
A celebration of life will be held at the Winery at Fontanel at 3:30pm on Saturday, March 2nd.
