Carolyn “Elyse” Collins
Passed peacefully in her sleep on November 4, 2022. Preceded in death by past spouses Albert Muench of Hendersonville, TN and William “Billy” Collins of Oak Hill, WV. Preceded in death by her father Bruce Taylor and mother, Joyce Taylor. Survived by her daughter Sarah Kelley and her daughters Kitiara and Mae. Also survived by son Douglas Muench and his children Natalie, Nathan, and Isaac; and her sister, Tracey Bennit. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville where she helped with the Special Friends for a time. She had several occupations over the years. In the early 80s, she worked for Davis Cabinet Co. and was secretary to Cal Turner of Dollar General. Then, she helped with Furniture Service, Albert Muench’s furniture repair business. After that, she worked with Corporate Image, a Nascar supporting company and went spelunking regularly. When she was done there, she began her traveling. She worked for Spider doing shows with bikers. She started her own business with Billy called B&E Indian jewelry. That quickly became a much larger endeavor expanding the business to all things biker, The New Frontier. She worked for Ace Whitewater Rafting for a time. She was an in-home caregiver both in WV and in TN. Most recently, she was employed by Unipress and North American Stamping Group. She lived her life close to the chest. We would love to meet anyone else that cared about her. Her Celebration of Life Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Hendersonville, TN in the Fellowship Hall on December 4th at 2:00pm. We will have southern comfort food and fellowship followed by speakers. She wouldn’t have wanted everyone to be sad sitting in a pew crying and listening to people talk. We’re throwing a going away party, a time to celebrate her life with people who knew her and want to share happy memories of her. Come as you are. Everyone is welcome. Grief is not a sign of weakness. Nor is it a loss of faith. It is the price of LOVE.
