Carl Eugene "Gene" Gulley, age 88 of Hartsville, Tennessee and formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away January 25, 2021 in Gallatin, Tennessee. Gene was born on October 7, 1932 in Fleming County, Kentucky to the late Clem Wilson Gulley and the late Della Mae Wilson Gulley. Gene was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Korean era as an air traffic controller. He worked at National Distillers in Cincinnati, Ohio from 1953 until his retirement in 1996, while at National Distillers he served as Union President for many years. Gene enjoyed coaching his sons knothole baseball teams for many years. He loved music, played and sang in Bluegrass and Country bands; he was also an avid Cubs and University of Kentucky Basketball fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Cameron Jay Gulley; sister, Lillian "Tip" Prater; and brother, John Wayne Gulley. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lillie Jane Quick Gulley; daughters, Carla Ferraro (Johnny), Cathy Stamper (Ronnie), Carolyn King (Roger); sons, Cary Gulley and Christopher Gulley (Jennifer); 16 grandchildren, Tina, Keith, Ryan, David, Justin, Joel, Erick, Shane, Kyle, Kelly, Sean, Stephanie, Ashley, Daniel, David, and Caitlin; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
