Bobby Gene Forbis, Jr.

Bobby Gene Forbis, Jr. was born November 16, 1956 in Franklin, KY and he passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018 at the Tri Star Centennial Medical Center in Nashville at the age of 62. He resided in Cottontown. Bobby was the son of Bobby Gene Forbis, Sr. and Jean Porter Jernigan.  He was a business owner.  Bobby loved to make people laugh, and keep everyone around him laughing. His laughter and smile were contagious. Mr. Forbis was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Chelsey Light and brother, Kevin Michael Forbis. Survivors include his wife, Lu (Lutricia) Mae Pirkle Forbis of Cottontown; sons, Bobby Forbis III of Portland and Kevin Michael Forbis of Cottontown; daughter, Kecia Lassiter of Hudson, FL; sister, Melody Masaitis of Massapequa, NY and niece Brooke Masaitis.  8 grandchildren, Devin Lassiter, Dominick Lassiter, Elliana Lassiter, Braxton Sadler, Madison Sadler, Bailey Forbis, Vega Brooks and Zane Brooks. Celebration of Life will be held at the Red Barn at Crafton Farms.  Location is 209 Crafton Rd, Portland, TN 37148.  The date and time of service will be Jan 6, 2018 from 2 until 5 PM. In leu of flowers, the family prefers donations to The Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.  Sumner County Funeral and Cremation Services assisting the family with local arrangements.  615-452-9059
