Betty Jo O'Kelly "JoJo", 63, of Madison, Tennessee passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, November 27, 2022. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on September 23, 1959, to parents Margaret Karponai and Charles Ervin, Sr.
She grew up in Madison, Tennessee where she attended Madison High School and held several positions in the hospitality field. She was a strong, fun-loving, compassionate person who with her tenacious spirit overcame many challenges. Throughout her journey she remained faithful in the Lord's will for her life.
She lovingly served as the primary care giver to her mother during her mother's final years of her life. She adored, cherished, and doted on her furbabies, Chico and Crissy. They were her world. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her green thumb. She took great pride in her flower gardens every year.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and sister Norma Jean. She is survived by her four sisters; Sherry Robinson, Theresa (Fred) Eurton, Angie Cox, and Cindy Copeland. Her two brothers; Charles Ervin, Jr., and Bobby Ervin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.
Her Celebration of Life will be Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 11:00 am. Visitation from 10-11am in the Chapel at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside, 104 Sanders Ferry Road, Hendersonville, Tennessee.
JoJo will forever be known as a free-spirited sole who lived life on her own terms. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
