Barbara Jo Eid

Barbara Jo Eid, born on June 20, 1956, in Moorhead, MN, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. 

She was the beloved daughter of Vern-Duane Eid and Beverly Dorothy Sutter-Eid, whose love and values she carried with her throughout her life.

Barbara was a woman of strength, independence, and kindness. At the time of her passing, she was a dedicated homemaker, but she spent many years as an over-the-road truck driver, a career of which she was deeply proud. She embraced life’s adventures and enjoyed the freedom of the open road.

Barbara deeply loved animals, especially horses and dogs, and they were a constant source of joy and companionship throughout her life. She also found happiness in fishing, dancing, flea marketing, and attending auctions, always seeking treasures and new experiences. Whether casting a line on a quiet morning, dancing to a favorite song, or discovering a hidden gem at a flea market, she lived with enthusiasm and a warm heart.

She is survived by her son, Rick Zhorne, and his wife, Brandi Zhorne; her daughter, Heather Worth, and her husband, Joe Worth. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Dakota Zhorne, Sage Zhorne, Meghan Matherly, and Tessa Matherly, who brought her endless joy. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Vern-Duane and Beverly Dorothy.

Barbara’s adventurous spirit, love for her family, and compassionate heart will never be forgotten. Her family will cherish her memory always. May she rest in peace.
