Mr. August Emil Marlinghaus age 81 of Gallatin passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin.
Mr. August was born July 24, 1935 in St. Louis, MO to Oskar Petar Marlinghaus and Elizabeth Caroline Balter. He was an industrial machinist, US Army Veteran and an Eagle Scout. He was a member of the Gallatin First Baptist Church.
Mr. August was preceded in death by his parents and sister Elizabeth Cora Koch.
Survivors include his wife Clara Devers Marlinghaus of Gallatin; Daughters, Debra Lynn Rencich of Beverly, W. VA. and Patricia (AJ) Kim Vilt of Bourbonnais, IL; Step-sons, Jim (Tina) Beeskow of Baldwin, MS and Bill (Tekla) Beeskow of Gallatin; grandchildren, Andrew (April) Scott Rencich of Crestview, FL, Emily Kaitlin Rencich of Fayetteville, NC, Emma and Anne Claire Beeskow of Gallatin, Ben And Cadence Gattis of Baldwin, MS.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Gallatin First Baptist Church, 205 E Main St, Gallatin at 2 PM with Bro. Travis Fleming officiating. Visitation with the family will be 1-2 PM.
Memorial donations can be made to the Gideons International.
