Arnold Milton Smith

Arnold "Smitty" Smith, age 79 of Portland, passed away on Monday April 8, 2019 in the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin.

Arnold was born in Schenectady, NY on Sunday February 18, 1940, son of Everette Milton and Cordia Mae Arnold Smith.  Arnold worked as a leathersmith. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara Dutcher and a brother Buck Smith. Survivors include four sons, Terry (Barbara) Smith, Arnold Smith, Josh (Amanda) Dutcher, and Garrett (Karen) Fosmire; four daughters, Stephanie (Mike) Smith, Shannon Smith , Samantha (Dewayne) Russell and Chrya (John) Henley; brother Dennis Smith; sisters, Cindy and Marion; grandchildren, Arron (Angie), Mikey, Norma, Jacob, Noah, Devin, Kobe', Isaac, Ciara, Kaleb, Makynzie, Reid and great-grandchildren, AJ, Alex Julian and Asher. Private memorial service will be held at a later date.  Sumner County Funeral and Cremation Services in charge of local arrangements.  615-452-9059 .
