Anne Edwards Nichols, age 82 of Hendersonville, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
Earlier in life, she had worked in the typing pool at Genesco. She was a very dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved playing Bridge, loved to play tennis, loved to read and loved the TV show ‘Blue Bloods’.
Mrs. Nichols is preceded in death by her husband, Evan Hooper Nichols and her parents, Brownie and Byron (Red) Edwards. She is survived by her son, Steve (Melissa) Nichols; daughter, Julia Nichols Arvidson; grandchildren, Nikki (Kyle) Hargrove, Natalie Nichols, Jessica (Beau) Sallee and Emily (Nathan) Gutoski; great-grandchildren, Lily, Laura and Lydia Sallee, Abby Hargrove, Evan Nicholas Gutoski, who is expected to arrive in May; and a sister, Jean S. (Ken) Robinson.
Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 1, from 4pm until 8pm and again on Wednesday, May 2, beginning 10am until her Celebration of Life Service at 11:30am from the Chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Hendersonville with Dr. Ken Corr officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Glendon Fleming, Nathan Gutoski, Beau Sallee, Kerry Dodd, Kyle Hargrove, Pete Boswell, Pat Keohane and Sam Slifka. Honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Woodall and Wilton DePriest.
