He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosetta Apa; parents, Frank and Josephine Apa; siblings, Tony Apa, Ann Spero, Catherine (Kitty) Apa and Dolly Apa. He is survived by his daughter, JoAnn Apa Walker; granddaughter, Gina Marie Apa; brothers, Frank Apa, Louis Apa, Martin Apa and Michael Apa; great-grandchildren, Olivia Rose Messina and Thomas Joseph Messina.
His family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until his Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. at Moloney Funeral Home, Hauppauge Chapel, 840 Wheeler Rd. Hauppauge, New York. Interment will be in St. Margaret's Cemetery in Plainview, New York.
