Allen "Delwayne" Crawford, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 15, 2025, in Portland, Tennessee. Born on January 25, 1963, in West Helena, Arkansas, Delwayne was a distinguished individual whose life was defined by his devotion to family.
A proud graduate of Hendersonville High School in 1981, Delwayne embarked on a successful career as a production manager at North American Stamping Group, complemented by his role as the former owner of Superior Welding Solutions. His exceptional work ethic and dedication earned him the admiration and respect of colleagues and peers alike.
Delwayne proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. His commitment to service extended beyond his military duties, reflecting a compassionate spirit that endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Family-oriented and genuinely charismatic, he was recognized for his warmth, kindness, and the ability to make every person feel valued and loved.
His legacy is profoundly rooted in his family, which includes his beloved wife of 43 years, Elizabeth Crawford; his children, Kellie Porter (Matt) and Dayrel Crawford (Shelby); and his cherished grandchildren, Brody Crawford, Blaine Porter, Christian Porter, Cohen Crawford, and Arabella Reynolds. Delwayne was also the proud brother of Diana Cribb (Joe), who, along with the rest of the family, will carry forward the beautiful memories of their time together.
An avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers, Delwayne found great joy being on the lake, where he shared treasured moments with family and friends. His penchant for outdoor activities paired with his unwavering support for his favorite sports team enriched the lives of those around him.
Delwayne is preceded in death by his parents, William Bruce Crawford and Norma Jean Keeling, and his brother, Randy Shumway.
The love and legacy of Allen "Delwayne" Crawford will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched and the rich memories his family holds dear. He will be greatly missed, but forever remembered for the compassionate, loving spirit he brought to the world.
